Hello
I'm Thomas — a software engineer specialising in Python and full-stack development, with a cybersecurity-aware mindset. I'm passionate about free and open-source software, home automation and self-hosted infrastructure.
I currently work as a backend software engineer at TEHTRIS, a cybersecurity company based in Pessac, where I develop server-side components of an XDR platform (Extended Detection & Response) in Python.
Before switching to software engineering, I earned a PhD in numerical acoustics at Sorbonne Université (Institut Jean Le Rond ∂'Alembert), modelling the acoustic vaporization dynamics of liquid-core nanoparticles for biomedical applications — a cross-disciplinary subject combining nonlinear elasticity, phase change and nonlinear physics. That research background gave me a rigorous, analytical approach to problem-solving and complex systems.
Interests
- Software & open source — free software, self-hosting, home automation
- Acoustics — bubble dynamics, fluid/nanoparticle interactions, hyperelasticity
